S. district courts that hear federal cases, including bankruptcy cases: Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands, Guam, and the Northern Mariana Islands. They'll choose between Democratic-backed Milwaukee County Circuit Judge Janet Protasiewicz and Republican-backed former Wisconsin Supreme Court Justice Dan Kelly. Circuit Courts of Appeal hear challenges to decisions issued by the federal District Courts located within the boundaries of the Circuit.
